Where to Eat Before a Match or Concert at Parken in 2026: 11 Stops

The meal before Parken has a deadline. Choose a table, a bowl or a slice that fits the route to your entrance.

TL;DR

Before Parken, book a nearby table if sitting down matters; otherwise choose one dish and leave time for the gates. POST Spisehus has a match-day pizza meal, GRØD serves savoury bowls, and Gasoline Grill Parken fits an outdoor stop when open. Bistro Lupa is for an early, properly planned dinner, not a last-minute dash.

Before a match at Parken, even dessert comes with a deadline. At POST Spisehus, that can mean pavlova with apricot and vanilla cream before a short walk to the stadium. But if the gates are opening soon, the smarter meal might be the one you can finish in a single bowl. Look at your ticket before you look at the menu.

There are eleven ways to eat before a match or concert here. Book a table if dinner is part of the occasion, keep the order simple around Trianglen, or eat earlier if you’re approaching from farther away. Choose by how much time you have before you need to be at your entrance.

Start with your gate time, not kick-off

A concert's doors, support act and headline set are different times. A match has its own entry arrangements. Use the instructions for your actual event on Parken's official event calendar, then work backwards from the entrance on your ticket. A restaurant near the stadium is not necessarily near your gate.

For a planning example, suppose you want to reach your entrance at 18:00. Allow 20 minutes for the walk, 15 minutes of spare time and 75 minutes at a booked table: 18:00 minus 110 minutes gives a 16:10 sitting. Those are planning allowances, not measured journey or service times. A restaurant that starts dinner at 17:00 cannot deliver that particular plan.

Make the table part of the event

If dinner is when everyone catches up, protect it with a booking. Start close enough that the final stretch is a walk, rather than another journey across town.

1. POST Spisehus: the match-day meal already has a shape

POST Spisehus fills the historic rooms of the old post office on Øster Allé, a few minutes' walk from the stadium, and makes an unusually direct offer for selected FCK home matches: nuts and olives, a shared selection of the kitchen's pizzas, then pavlova with apricot and vanilla cream. It costs 350 DKK per person on the current listing. The dishes are made for sharing, so the table eats together instead of waiting for separate plates, a more coherent plan before football than everyone ordering at different counters.

Book the home-match pizza event, rather than assuming the offer runs before every concert. On a concert night, the regular dinner menu, served Tuesday to Saturday from 17:00, still has pizzas such as potato with rosemary and pancetta, or buffalo mozzarella with cherry tomatoes. For an ordinary lunch, crispy fish on rye with coarse remoulade gives a different reason to come. Ask which sitting fits your departure time.

Around Trianglen, keep the order simple

Trianglen has been a junction since the 19th century, when carriages known as kapervogne stopped here to take people out to Dyrehaven, and it still suits friends arriving from different directions. Its metro station is 500 to 600 metres on foot from Parken. A bowl or a curry can be easier to organise than a multi-course dinner, and the friend who has already eaten can simply order less. That does not make service instant. Choose before you arrive and leave an alternative if the room is full.

2. GRØD: dinner does not have to mean oats

GRØD at Nordre Frihavnsgade 14 serves savoury bowls as well as breakfast, and they have a history of their own. GRØD opened on Jægersborggade in 2011 as what it calls the world's first porridge bar, and its founder found that porridge need not be sweet or a morning dish. The chicken congee has hoisin-marinated chicken, peanuts, spring onion, soy, sesame oil, coriander and kimchi cabbage. Red daal comes with cherry tomatoes, coriander, skyr and salted almonds; mushroom barley risotto is another substantial option.

GRØD first came to this street in 2015, lost that shop to water damage, then came back to these high rooms with their original glass ceilings. Savoury bowls start at 11:00. There are seats inside and takeaway, but no table reservations. This fits two people happy to take the next available seats better than a large group that must sit together. The branch normally closes at 20:00, so it is a before-the-show plan, not a dependable post-show supper.

3. Bindia Østerbro: takeaway needs somewhere to eat

Bindia at Blegdamsvej 130 is where the chain began. Amer Suleman, who came to Denmark from Punjab, opened the first Bindia here in September 2003, opposite the main entrance to Fælledparken. It offers butter chicken, lamb rogan josh and palak paneer, with rice or naan choices to build a meal around. A curry is a good answer when the group wants something more substantial than a hand-held snack, and the branch counts people heading to or from internationals and big concerts at Parken, just down Øster Allé, among its regulars.

Order, pay and collect at the counter, then eat in the large rooms or, in summer, on a terrace for about 40 that faces a quiet passage away from the Trianglen traffic. The branch lists daily opening from 16:00, so for an early afternoon match, choose a lunch venue instead. Takeaway also does not mean food can automatically be brought through stadium security.

4. Gasoline Grill Parken: eat outside, already at the stadium

At Øster Allé 56, Gasoline Grill Parken removes a separate restaurant-to-stadium journey from the plan. The branch was designed in-house for its partnership with Parken and F.C. København, and during FCK matches, national matches and concerts you can also buy a burger inside the stadium. The practical distinction is the setting: seating is outdoors only, and there are no reservations. Come for food before moving on to your entrance, not for a guaranteed sheltered table.

At Parken we serve two quite different options. Our Cheeseburger combines beef, cheddar, red onion, pickles and Gasoline Grill Sauce. The Hot Chicken Sandwich, a Nashville hot chicken with a little Korean flavour, uses chicken thigh with homemade coleslaw, pickles, lettuce and dressing, with a choice of heat. The chicken is marinated, cooked sous-vide and fried; the appeal is a substantial sandwich rather than another course to wait for.

Check current event-day opening before relying on the stop. The published pattern is from 11:00 until sold out, not a promise of service at your arrival time. Pre-orders are through the Gasoline Grill app, subject to availability. If rain cover or a reserved seat is essential, choose a booked indoor restaurant earlier in the evening.

Come in from the eastern side for a longer meal

If you are coming in through the eastern streets of Østerbro or via Nordhavn, there is room for a slower meal. There is also farther to go after the last mouthful. Give yourself that time before you sit down.

5. Hos Fischer: commit to dinner, not just a table

Hos Fischer at Victor Borges Plads 12 centres its cooking on antipasti, pasta and wine. David Fischer opened it in 2007 in a former pub, after working at a leading Rome restaurant, and he calls the result a cross between a trattoria and a Danish pub. The current evening menu is served family style: mozzarella caprese and melanzane parmigiana among five antipasti, followed by two chef-chosen pastas and dessert, for 475 DKK per person. That is a full fixed dinner rather than a quick plate. The restaurant warns that the menu may change daily, so check it again before your event.

Dinner runs Wednesday to Saturday from 17:00, with one fixed menu, which can be made vegetarian but not vegan or gluten-free. Reserve online and ask whether the full meal fits your deadline. Sunday and Monday have a separate Roman pizza service, Maupa. This is a good plan when dinner is part of the evening, and a poor one when everyone wants to order a different quick plate.

6. Hachi Sushi: collect an order, not a seat

Hachi's Unagi Roll combines grilled eel and cucumber with avocado, teriyaki sauce and sesame. Its Ocean Roll takes a different route, with crispy prawn, avocado and flamed scallop. Owner and chef Apisit Prasertsri lists Nordic sushi as his speciality, and the shop's open kitchen lets you watch the chef at work.

Hachi operates as takeaway on Rosenvængets Allé near Trianglen, daily from 14:30 to 21:00 with delivery after 17:00, and asks customers to order ahead because it can be busy. Hachi's contact details show both number 2 and number 12, so confirm the collection point when calling. Plan somewhere to eat, and do not assume there will be a restaurant table waiting for you.

7. Det Simrer: a pot of something warm

Det Simrer at Melchiors Plads 3 is a family-run dining room built around slow-cooked food, nearly ten years old. Thomas is almost always there, with his son and daughter helping with service and in the kitchen. The chicken in mustard and cider comes with potatoes, fennel and apple; the Persian ghormeh sabzi uses lamb, leeks and spinach. Shakshuka with tomato, red pepper, chickpeas, poached egg and feta gives non-meat eaters a full dish rather than a side salad.

Reserve a table and state your leaving time. The theatre menu names football and music at Parken among its uses: cava and snacks on arrival, then two courses for 388 DKK or three for 488 DKK, built around the dish of the day. The restaurant puts the walk to Parken at about ten minutes. This is a better choice than outdoor eating when a warm seated dinner is the priority. The kitchen closes at 20:30, and the menu separates lunch and evening dishes, so ask for the right service rather than assuming everything runs all day.

8. Bistro Lupa: plant-based, but not a quick bowl

Bistro Lupa's grilled blue oyster mushrooms come with Greek-style marinade, potato and spring onion. Beetroot tartare with plum, rose and hazelnut shows a different side of the plant-based kitchen at Marstalsgade 8. Founder Jason Renwick forages ingredients himself, and the restaurant co-owns an urban mushroom farm in Brøndby. Michelin named it a 2026 Bib Gourmand. It is a more considered dinner than the single-bowl stops around Trianglen.

Friday and Saturday evenings are tasting-menu only. The Sunday-to-Thursday menu permits à la carte for parties of up to four. Dinner starts at 17:00, and children are catered for in the evening from age 12. Book with the event time in mind; for an early gate opening, this is the wrong place to force into a narrow gap.

9. Tio Mario's: pizza on the Nordhavn approach

Tio Mario's at Amerika Plads 4 has served Italian food here since 2013. Its Margherita uses tomato sauce, cheese and cherry tomatoes; the house pizza adds air-dried ham, grated cheese, rocket and pesto. Pasta bolognese offers a familiar alternative for the person who does not want pizza.

There is a dining room, table booking and takeaway. It earns its place when you are already coming through Nordhavn or staying nearby. If your friends are gathering at Trianglen, going east for dinner and back towards Parken adds a detour that a closer meal avoids.

Two earlier meals, with an onward walk

These stops make sense when you are already near the Lakes or approaching from Nørrebro. Neither is a last-minute restaurant at the stadium door.

10. Sticks'n'Sushi: sushi before the stadium walk

Sticks'n'Sushi at Øster Farimagsgade 16 has served this part of Østerbro since 2000, on a street of chestnut trees overlooking the Kartoffelrækkerne. The chain began in a rented basement on Nansensgade in 1994, after co-founder Jens Rahbek came back from six years in Japan qualified as a yakitori chef, and grilled sticks still share the menu with sushi. Shake Yaki is seared salmon with sansho pepper and tsume; Spicy Tori brings crispy marinated chicken with spicy garlic chilli glaze, soy sesame, Japanese mayonnaise and daikon cress. Sushi and cooked dishes can share the same table without everyone ordering raw fish. Use the current menu cards to choose a set before arriving.

The branch has indoor dining, a seasonal terrace and reservations. Its kitchen opens at 11:00. For ten or more guests, the restaurant recommends pre-ordering the menu. It works as an earlier meal near the Lakes; allow the onward walk rather than treating the Østerbro name as proof that it is beside Parken.

11. Diamond Slice: the Nørrebro detour

Diamond Slice at Tagensvej 79 is outside Østerbro, but useful if you are already approaching from Nørrebro. Its New York-style pizza is hand-stretched sourdough, sold by the slice, with booths inside and a takeaway window. A slice stop gives people who have eaten different amounts a way to order separately.

Weekday opening begins at 16:30; weekends begin at noon. Do not add this detour if you are already at Parken. It is a route-based choice, not a closer substitute for the restaurants around Trianglen. Copenhagen's tourist board singles out the Hot Honey, made with three cheeses, and notes that the pepperoni and blue cheese are made in Denmark. That description is of the Blågårds Plads shop, so ask which slices Tagensvej has out.

Can you eat at Gasoline Grill before a concert at Parken?

Gasoline Grill Parken at Øster Allé 56 fits best when you want an outdoor meal at the stadium, rather than a long sit-down dinner, and the branch is open with food available. Choose the Cheeseburger or Hot Chicken Sandwich, check the day's opening and leave time to reach your assigned entrance. Seating is outdoors only, reservations are not accepted, and the usual from-11:00-until-sold-out pattern does not guarantee event-day service. Check Gasoline Grill Parken before making it your only meal plan.

Give dinner an ending

Agree on a leaving time when you agree on a restaurant. Book a table if eating together indoors matters, choose one-dish stops if the group is arriving separately, and use the farther options only when they fit your approach. Then put the tickets away for the meal. The evening should have room for both the food and the reason you came.

Frequently asked questions

Where is best to eat before a concert at Parken?

Choose a booked indoor table in Østerbro if shelter and sitting together matter. Det Simrer offers a pre-event menu, while GRØD suits a quick bowl if there’s space. Gasoline Grill Parken is an outdoor option at the stadium when open. Work back from the time you need to reach your entrance.

Can you book a restaurant meal specifically before an FCK home match?

POST Spisehus advertises a pizza meal for selected home matches with nuts, olives, shared pizzas and pavlova. Book the relevant match-day sitting. The offer is tied to FCK home matches, not automatically to concerts or every event at Parken.

Where can vegetarians eat before Parken?

GRØD has red daal and mushroom barley risotto, Det Simrer serves shakshuka with egg and feta, and Bistro Lupa offers a plant-based dinner. Bistro Lupa's Friday and Saturday dinners are tasting-menu only, so check that the meal fits your event time.

Does Gasoline Grill Parken have indoor seating or take reservations?

No. Gasoline Grill Parken has outdoor seating only and does not accept reservations. Check current event-day opening and availability before setting off. It normally opens from 11:00 until sold out, so service at a particular time is not guaranteed.
