THE KIMCHI BURGER IS BACK!

Chef Kala Sung will be popping up on February 23rd – from 13.00 until SOLD OUT – at our Værnedamsvej location. The burger is a combination of our soft potato roll, patties and cheddar cheese with her kimchi cucumber, kimchi mayonnaise, Korean barbecue sauce, fried onions and coriander.

About Kala Sung

Chef Kala Sung a native of Korea was raised with strong appreciation for its culinary traditions. Her passion for people, places and food came into full color during her years at CIA and NYU where she completed an M.A. in Food Studies, as well as her years doing field research worldwide and consulting as a chef at the Four Seasons Restaurant.

Currently Kala runs a creative & culinary studio in New York at which she hosts weekly Kimchi & cooking classes. Her goal is to bring Kimchi into every kitchen. She has adapted the traditional techniques of Kimchi to local produce and continually introduces other modern twists while retaining its distinctive qualities. Her classes have gone on tour to Copenhagen with others scheduled to take place in Bordeaux as well as other locations across Europe this summer. For her the world has no limits.

Kala’s radiance captures the attention of any room or class she holds as she shares the intricacies of preparing Kimchi (or any other dish) while making it accessible and practical to all. Her humor and storytelling enrich every situation. Her deep knowledge of the origins and practices behind each dish have made her the liveliest of ambassadors of Kimchi and Korea at large.
